Overall weight loss: .2 pounds
Overall emotions: frustration, is stress an emotion?
I’m happy to be down a fraction of a pound. I wish I had lost more, but I’d rather be down a little than up at all.
What Went Well
I had more green smoothies and my mood was a lot more stable. On most of the days this week, I actually had a pretty good mindset about eating healthy.
What Didn’t Go Well
For the first day of the week I decided I would mainly have green smoothies filled with protein and collagen and lots of soothing ingredients. I was having horrible digestive pain and needed a reset. This lasted two hours. I did have more green smoothies overall, but I also gave in to cravings for a couple of meals and that set me back this week.
My youngest daughter is sick and has been, understandably, very clinging. This led to me eating foods that were more convenient at the time, instead of what I should have been eating. That can always start a downward spiral so this week’s tapping focuses on not sabotaging your goals because of small setbacks.
My Plan for Next Week
My takeaway from this week is that I need to have foods pre-made that are easy to heat up or eat cold. This week I’m going to work on making extra at every meal and putting it in the freezer for a quick meal later.
I’m also going to be focusing on my mindset more. With a sick toddler, I haven’t been taking care of myself very well and I need to find time, even 5 minutes, to meditate. Here’s some of my favorite meditation music. The most simple way to meditate is to focus on your breath, and to acknowledge any thoughts that pop into your mind, but don’t focus on them. Simply notice that they’re there, and watch them float back out of your mind as you continue watching your breath.
